few things you can do.

some do this some don’t. best thing to do is put a removable drain in bottom under the truck. having a hole open all the time will just let exhaust out.

would do this if it’s going to rain a lot or the truck is going to be parked for a while.

you can add flappers, kinda like how tractors have. they fall shut when the engine is off but open when it’s running.

or you can just start the truck and rev it and blow the water out. diesel exhaust pipes are bigger than gas all the way from the engine. most the time there wont be enough water to fill them and go up hill and into the engine, also with no back pressure (with the truck just parked) it wont suck the water into the engine. not the best thing to do but can be and is done.


also most people just have stacks for the looks of them.(some are ok, but some are just stupid imho) they started putting them on truck to get the exhaust away from livestock, it’s not good for them to breath it in going down the road on long hauls. also good at keeping the soot off of any trailer you maybe pulling.
