I know they are capable, and his truck looks very sharp. Keeping up with a locked 4x4 is out of the question.

 

It is locked and the first time I seen it I thought it was 4x4 with how easy he made stuff look

Actually, I think people do know, and that's why they make the comment. A locked 2wd is cool and all, but definitely not as capable as a 4x4.

 

still gotta know how to drive..

I think its great that o dont even have to defend myself everybody else knows what the truck is capable of and how I know how to drive. The two go together if I let somevody else drive the truck they won't be able to do nearly as much as I can with it because I lnow what im doing and how not to break stuff

 

I was showing a few friends the cl ad for your truck and noticed the rear arb isn't on the list man. Throw it on there. It's a good selling point

 

I didn't put gears and locker on there? Guess I gotta at that. Im trying not to put name brands just so people dont go looking up prices and think about stealing the truck and everything

 

More like 60 40 split favored towards the driver. Ill give john my truck and keep it in 2wd and he won't do half the stuff he can do in his truck. 37s with a locker, HP/Torque, and add a bit of throttle control and line selection from the driver and you have a capable truck.

 

Yea, I'm going to have to agree with 4banger. 60/40 sounds like a good split. Doesn't matter how good of a driver you are, those back tires get into something with little traction, you're not moving.
Also, that pretty much applies mainly for this area. Take a 2wd out West to rocky technical areas and you might not even make it 50ft past the trail head.
Back in my Jeep days, I had my 4wd go out 3 miles into the trail. Luckily the first three miles are just deep mud. If it would of been anything technical, I would of been camping out until I got parts in.
