So I have noticed my truck getting a great deal louder in the exhaust department and my cel has been on for a while. Well I just noticed that my rear sensor is missing both of its bolts holding it in place and its sitting loose in the whole. Anyone know what size bolt it is? Is it possible that this is the cause of my cel? btw its a 2.4L

That more than likley is the cause of your CEL. No idea on the size, though.

My 98 had nuts that rusted off. Let me run out in the garage quick.

You can get the bolts at your local hardware store. I also recommend lock washers and a gasket. It may take a few miles before the CEL goes away.

Just pull the ECU fuse for a few minutes. Saves a trip.

well I got the nuts I needed, sprayed the bolt with a little wd-40 and got one nut on but the other one jammed up and stuck on the bolt. At least the exhaust leak is gone. Weird thing is that the cel has been on for quite some time and before I even put the nut on and secured the sensor, the light was not lit up anymore.
