You cray. Having a lift has saved my butt more times than I can count even driving on the road lol. Plus lifts are sexy. And fat chicks can't jump. Just lift it. :D I get about the same MPG even with everything I have on it now, if that's what you're worried about it.

I'm still daily driving it. It isn't practical in my mind at this particular point in time. And i will not lift until i'm ready for armor, lockers, regear and tires. I would do it all near the same time because i'm VERY particular.

Can a stock front coil be taken apart in a homeowner garage or would i have to have someone tear it down and put the 5100s in the coils?

they dont make 5150s anymore. just 5100s and 5125s, which are the same thing as 5100s but with more lengths

if anything you could probably grab a new set of oem coils
or a set of ome's for a small lift to level

see above as far as 5150s, I have one of the last sets, IIRC

you need a spring compressor or to do the lca trick, id just bring it to a shop with a wall mount

I had a shop swap my coilover coils for $30

    Thank you cody.

Ideally, i'd like to have the 5100s on the front with a new coil (stock or not doesn't matter to me) and i'd like to have only minimal lift in the front, just enough to level it. And i have a cap on so my ass end squats more than most anyway so i may just leave them at stock height.

What about the rear? Are the 5100s for the rear any taller than stock? I don't want to look like a old gasser drag car with my ass end sticking up in the air....
I would only put them on the rear if they were stock height, otherwise i'd go with the stock trd 4600 billies for the rear.

rear height is controlled by the leafs, the shocks are only there to dampen the movement of the leafs

pairing shocks to leafs, the biggest thing to look for is length- there's stock and extended 5100s

    yep

unless you get new leafs to deal with the weight in the back, then youll need longer ones
