I bought 2 on Ebay that showed a schematic of the center console and list part number 4 as the "divider", but both places sent me the rubber piece of crap that came in my truck. In talking to one of the sellers, the part I want is not available from Toyota for a 2013.

I have a 2011 and I've mislaid the right insert. It doesn't seem to be rubber. What year did the changeover occur?

Just buy one of the listings that actually shows a picture of the divider. That is what I'd do. I saw a thread also where someone replaced the 2 rubber inserts with the divider because they hated the inserts...so I am pretty sure they fit 2012+. I wouldn't buy from someone just throwing up a schematic as their item picture....i'd rather buy straight from a dealer. Too easy to flub shit up on eBay when people don't have a picture of the actual item.

Cheapest one I saw listed, its auction style, not "buy it now". There were 4-5 others but they were $30+.

Edit: this was the thread I wast thinking of. Some people put in some interesting info on fitment. 4Runner insert doesn't work apparently but looks similar/same.

Both of the ones I bought were from Toyota dealerships.

The one you list on ebay as well as the TW article are for older trucks.

I did not think there were many changes over the recent years, but one dealer I spoke with said only the older models have the option

That is my exact point. The newer trucks (I think 2010, maybe 2009 and up) have the 2 rubber inserts. If you pull those out you can see those plastic slot tab things, and that is where the older style insert (the one that is adjustable) fits in. Which is why I posted that thread, as you can see some guys with newer Tacomas bought the old style adjustable inserts and it fit.

And on a side note, beyond the bare minimals, most dealers are not going to know jack about what fits between model years when it comes to specific things like mirrors or cupholders, etc.

There is actually a more recent thread on the same topic...I posted in it so I'll see if I can go back through my posts and find it.

    I can't find one for a 2014... and I definitely don't mean the stock rubber ones :)

This thread is more than a year old but I JUST went on eBay again and searched Tacoma cup holder and see a ton of the adjustable plastic ones in $20 price range.
