Sorry guys. I feel like a punk backing out of another group meet but this isn't something my Dad enjoys that much. He has never been a truck guy or one for getting out and exploring all that much. I just ordered a nice chunk of brisket flat to pick up tomorrow. His hobby is bbq/smoking things in his big green egg. He is part of a forum and everything so Ill be hanging around the house and cooking up a feast with him. I'll probably take him fishing tomorrow after prepping the meat if he is down for it.

I am really bad with dates. I still don't even know my parents, sister or nephews birth date. Just the month. Had I known fathers day was this weekend I would have let you guys know from the start I wasn't gonna make it.

Glad everything worked out Monte. Hopefully frank is running strong and makes it home.

Also, we need to get some quality control going in Wyoming. It seems like the standard for residents has been getting lower...

Understandable man i don't blame you, there's always time for more meetups. Family is most important. And is that Kia PARKED like that? Jesus i can understand in the winter time when the lot is covered in snow but come on...

Yeah it was parked. Everyone that walked past it just shook their head. I just hope it was a female driving it.

God i would hope a female was driving that thing..And been playing with my moms camera a little bit, figuring out fancy camera terms and messing with settings. Played with it for like 2 hours last night and didn't even realize it..makes me more excited to get one of my own.

Picked up my tool today :)

So I didn't really play much with my Moms camera. Just shot it on auto. Today I pulled it out to see how the manual features were different from my NEX6. Gave up pretty quick haha. I can see why she never got into it herself. My nex6 was 20x more user friendly. Not sure how it compares to Montes but I was far more comfortable out of the box with the sony. It feels like everything was simplified.

My moms Fugi is a bit like that, i definitely had to crack open the owners manual to get it figured out. I feel like it could be much more user friendly especially to a beginner. I'm pretty dead set on the Sony at this point so i'm anxious to see how it differs from the Fugi.

is your moms Fuji a mirrorless? Or just a point and shoot? Once you get in the menus the nex sucked but the controls out of the box were just right for me. I had to look at the cannon to find buttons and would have needed the manual to fully understand it.

It looks like it might be one of those cameras that are a step above the normal point and shoot.

Yeah it kinda is, its got manual controls and whatnot, digital viewfinder, and a lense that looks interchangeable to add to the cool factor.
