5.56/.223? Still around 50 cents a round sometimes a little less and often times more expensive. Gun shows are where its at for ammo, sometimes Walmart. When I went back to CO last month .22 was almost impossible, some store wanted $100 for a 500 round box. I remember when 500 rounds were $12.

Shoot black powder. No matter how good you are, you're unlikely to go though more than about ten bucks worth of supplies in an afternoon. :D

This is why I'm glad I live less than two hours from Cabelas in NV. Ammo there is still somewhat reasonably priced.

damn... its 4 hour drive for me. Gas price kills any savings, but it gives a reason to go to Tahoe. Best place for ammo is WalMart right now. I just bought 4 boxes of 100pack 45ACP at lunch. previously, I bought a bunch of 223 from PSA on a good sale, and some 7.62x39 in spam cans. Only way to be able to afford to shoot em. 22LR nobody has, but I bought a good amount a couple years ago at a crossroads show.

I should have bought up all the 45, but when you go to walmart and leave with 2 light bulbs and tons of ammo, you get funny looks. Now I'm kicking myself for not getting more 40 and 45. The most I have ever seen in stock was today. Otherwise its hit or miss for ammo being in stock, but it has definitely gotten better in supply and price.

If anyone is in NorCal theres a small shop called Sportsmans Arms in Petaluma, owners name is Gabe. I dunno how but he always has ammo in stock, even when nobody had anything in stock. Good guy to deal with as well.

I have an old magazine-fed Mossberg bolt action that shoots shorts, longs, and LR. I can find ammo :)

If they have some 9 mm or the elusive .22 LR can you snag some for me?

There's good deals on .22 still. Just gotta call around.

How do you remover the power steering rack from the starting joint? Do you remove the two bolts that connects the joint and rack and it comes off? I got one loose but the other is a pain and causing me a ton of trouble.
