FYI, I don't know how many people even know about it but somebody started a group buy on Tepui tents over on ExPo. They weren't authorized to be doing that and Tepui is killing that group buy. At some point I'll be trying to set one up here. In the meantime, let me know what you need and I'll hook you up.

Just read something over on Expo that Smittybilt is coming out with a RTT. Any thoughts or insight on this?

 

That is a great idea. We have wrapped them in plywood and it was still damaged with a fork right through it. I do understand what you are saying about just being handled by forks as the floors are soft. I will try this out and see how it goes. Thank you.!

 

You bet. Unless something is on backorder at the time you order you'll usually have it in about a week. If it is on backorder you'll know that upfront and can plan accordingly.

 

In defense of CVT, Tepui or any other vendor....there's not much you can do to guard against a ham-fisted monkey driving a forklift. I do think steps can be taken to protect against the average abuse that happens during shipping but there are some extreme cases like a tard with a forklift who doesn't care a bit about what he might tear a hole in. Hopefully those are few and far between but they do happen.

You definitely have to come up w/ a 'How To:' on this one, Alex! I really like how low it makes the tent to the vehicle.
That is my ultimate goal with a RTT on my 2k4R, to make the tent a little more aerodynamic than a 95#, 4' wide, 11" thick brick.
