It's not finished, but it should be sweet when it's finished next week. It's an aluminum docking station for my iPhone with zCover, which doubles as my iPod. It will have the cable and connector built in. It will mount in that blank area on the center console, left of the small cup holder, behind the shifter.

Yeah, I did it with a Dremmel Tool.

    jk. ;)

I've got a buddy on ToyotaNation.com that has a CNC machine shop. I came up with the design and measurements, and he's doing the rest. He makes some other cool stuff too. I'll post more info and pictures soon.

OK. Finally got it made. It's awesome. It holds the phone very securely. I can leave my phone inside the zCover rubber case, charge the phones battery, and connect it to my Eclipse head unit to have access to all my music and videos and play them through the audio/video system.

The Dynolicious program is running here. It works like a G-tech. It can tell me very accurate 1/4 mile, 0-60, max MPH, G-force, etc.

That blue thing is the Kicker SXRC amplifier controller, EQ, Crossover, etc.\

Naw. I'll probably wait for the 32 gig to come out. The 3G iPhone will work with this mount though, whenever I make the switch.

What software do you use. I'm used to AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor. That looks sorta like it. I used Inventor for my sub box just to make sure that I was getting the right air volume for the sub. Great program to use instead of pen and paper.

Wow that looks awesome. What type of adapter are you using to connect your iPhone to your stereo? I have an adapter that came on the truck when I bought it but it just plugs in the headphone jack.

If your going to make more, Ill definitely buy one from you for my iPod Touch if it will fit!

Damn! Looks great. What are the jacks on the side for? Aux in/out for the head unit? Or maybe those are hex-head bolts holding it together. Was it hard getting the 20pin connector in there? I want one very badly...

If you've got $200 to blow then send me a PM.

I'm using the Eclipse iPod interface adapter. I forget the model number.

The mount is 2 pieces. The main base and then there's a cap that covers up the connector and clamps the connector in place. The 2 bolts on the side hold the end cap in place. It works great. Everything fits tight. 4 bolts go up into the base from underneath to hold it to the center console piece.

The base is not actually flat. It has a .050" arch milled into it because the center console is not totally flat.

You can polish it to a mirror shine, but I gave mine a brushed finish. To match the Tacomas matte interior.
