I'm guessing you ment to quote mike on that but I can say with sliders just come off the frame at a 90° An inch or so is plenty. My tacoma has less than that actually.

I looked at his when we went to uwharrie. The issue is that there is only 1-1.5" of clearance between the bottom of the frame and the bottom of the pinch and we're using 2x2 tubing. He just mounted the slider legs flush with the bottom of the frame and notched the pinch for the tubing to go through.

Yeah you can notch the pinch seam for the heck of it. Not really gonna hurt anything if they touch a little under a load.

Just don't let them flex enough to hit your cab.. I'd try getting as low as possible

Don't let them flex? Like this? Lol. Ungusseted and booger welds by the P.O.

Yeah that's what I did. I welded the pinch weld back up before installing the sliders to prevent rust.

I feel crazy saying this but the truck may be up for sale soon. Looking to get a 4runner, need more room for camping stuff. :spy:

For some reason I though you had posted in your build thread. I was confused after looking back. Should never be on Tapatalk when your half asleep.

If the deal goes through and I decide to sell it, it will be sold as is. Only thing i'm keeping is the hi-lift.

Looking forward to seeing the new ride! I'm wanting to head to uwharrie again soon now that I've got my truck back together. I'll see if I can find some shorts this time too haha

Na, decided to keep it. I'm glad I did.

Installed a Warn M8000 on a TG winch plate. Planning on making the rest of the bumper this weekend.
