Truck tail step

There are a number of hitch receptacle steps available. But i can't see either type being all too useful when your tailgate is down?

The one's referred to earlier in the thread, drop down outboard of the tailgate and serve their purpose well.
I have a hitch step and a cap.
I can lean over the tailgate and reach more than half way into my bed, stepping on it.
And if you're agile, you can easily climb over the TG.
On a side note, I had my tailgate covered with the same 3M Clear Paint Protector, I had installed on the front.
Recommended if you're gonna be on a hitch step leaning in the bed a lot.

Glad to help.

The step extends out at a diagonal to the centerline of the truck. Stepping up its in the right spot. Coming down, I wish it were 3" further out, but it works.

Simply put, I would buy it again if I sold this truck and started over adding stuff.

 

It does appear that stepping down could be tricky.

 

Just ordered one myself for my Poser. Will post pics after the install.
