What radio do you have in your garage?

I'm about to get this for my garage, they are shipping the backers this month, so we shall see.

My buddy has the turtle shell 2.0, a bit smaller, but that thing is awesome. I'm not an audiophile, but do appreciate good sound, I have a pair v-moda M100, and audio-technica ATH-CKS77, blah blah blah.

 

Dewalt and a Makita job site radio

 

We have a Dewalt radio. Does pretty well.

 

I was reading a jobsite radio review in Fine Homebuilding and if you use an Ipod , the Rigid has a USB charging port and dry storage compartment for the Ipod

(Pretty sure it was the Rigid)

 

I have an old old boombox and an even older Marantz receiver neither work very well.

 

I rock this at the beach.

Rigid is nice looking, but the fact that it doesn't charge the batteries is BS.

 

If you're using it as a radio only and don't use Rigid tools , who cares

 

Then why get a ruggedized one at all?

 

Actually I use an old laptop 15w speakers, access to all my files and internet reference. Comes in handy

It just doesn't get any better, introducing the 1974 Panasonic AM/FM/AUX with the cutting edge 8 track cassette tape player built right in, thats right ...this baby will ruin you for anything else with its wall shaking /floor thumping 4 watts per channel output/ harmonic distortion is...well its alot haha.. & the only way to turn it on/off is to unplug it. Channel surfing is a breeze when you have to use a screw driver to change stations... only the best in my ...shop.....

 

I use a sirius boombox in the garage . Its portable and plenty loud enough for fishing trips in the boat , in the car , in the house and camping as well . Only 1 radio station where I live and sick of listening to bingo and highschool hockey games so I dont mind paying $170/ year to listen to the tunes I wanna hear .
