EDIT: everything sold EXCEPT for tires, and audio control (as of 6/19/14)

FOR SALE!!!!. Im parting with some goods on the truck so take them from me. PLEASE! I'm honestly not lookin for much here. Im hoping someone can make good of these. I can feel myself posting some these in the free thread eventually but if i can't get rid of them ill also entertain some trades or offers. I don't know what kind of low balls i can get on already low prices.

Went with a mid travel and and some new shoes so heres some parts from that:

    285/65/18 Toyo all terrains (NOT AT2's) -- $50 each/ TOTAL $200 (thats less than 1 brand new tire! and you'll get 4!!!)
they've been driven on, ill be real. They have 45k miles on them. the positive to take from these tires: when i got the new nitto's at the shop, they loaded me up with some old bald tires (which weren't mine) and I went in the back to give them back they had my Toyo's nicely stacked inside the shop looking like someone was going to snag them from me. So someone on here must find some use for them! I'm not lookin for much out of these but they still have some tread.. some..

they have no gashes, tears, or never been repaired

    they have been stored inside!

and they still have some life!

Also I've got my stock Spindles, Control arms, and (not stock) 5100 Bilstein front shocks

Ideally they would go together but i guess id split them up if i had to. everything stock has 72,000 miles on them. Honestly come take them from me, I won't hustle you. The Billies were put on with the toyo's and have 45k miles as well. Anyone who wants the 5100's can take the rest. Otherwise they are FREE!

    Heres whats FREE
    [IMG]

Heres whats NOT free -- Lookin for $80
    [IMG]

Lastly, some audio components. I took out the iPad thinking the truck was going to be sold/ now that I have the mid travel, I don't want to mess with an iPad in the dash while in the sand.

This is an Audio Control Three. Two - Retail $240 on crutchfield
TacomaWorld special gets it for $100 bones. Its basically brand new, I've been away at school for a year and haven't even used it. The thing has been used for maybe 10 hours. Original box, and wiring harness included. no scratches, dings, mistreatment or nothin. Lights up with blue backlight

Back to the application of the 3M wrap - how did you do the door handles? Do you have to remove them?

yes i did remove the door handles, but i plasti- dipped them black instead of wrapping them. I am doing another wrap in the next couple weeks but i will be wrapping them this time. the seam will be on the inside and hopefully be seamless (no pun intended haha) with some knifeless tape. let me know if you have any questions, would be more than happy to help you out

That wrap looked great. Have you ever thought of doing it as a business?

is there a cheap, short-term option for doing this? I just got back from a multi-day off road/camping trip and ended up scratching the hell out of my truck driving some trails where brush had encroached into the road. It's going to take a lot of work with a buffer to get back into decent shape. Just wondering how easy/difficult it would be to slap on something like this along the sides as a short-term protective measure. Doesn't have to look pretty

Bummer man sorry to hear about the scratches. But yes there are some options for that. If you wrapped the truck (which takes about a day or 2) you can easily replace the pieces of vinyl that get scratched after an off-road trip. My wrap got keyed which was a little more intense than some bushes so it ended up getting into some of the paint but if it wernt for that I would have slapped on some new pieces on vinyl on the portions of the truck that were keyed

I also did white which is an easy color to fade so I would reccomend something neutral that wouldn't fade as much incase you do change the door pieces or bed pieces after a trip. You'd want it all to look the same! Good luck. It's kind of an expensive option but if you bought enough it would be super cheap (that is if you do it yourself)

supper easy man, all you need is to measure out how long that will be, most rolls come in 5' by however long you want them. Probably around 10feet for you but measure that. A heatgun, and some type of application tool (they call them squeegees). they heat gun will make the vinyl a little more playable in the places you need contour. Watch some videos on youtube and and you'll get it in no time.

highly recommend buying a sample piece so you can see color and get a little practice down.

I promised the wrap but i fell through on a video!!

Brushed Gray Aluminum wrap, complete! This is my second wrap, the first being the Matte White wrap from almost 2 years ago. (http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/241083-matte-white-vinyl-wrap.html). If any of you have seen the first wrap, let me know which one you like better.

These wraps are very different, this wrap has a different look with a lot of changes on the tacoma itself. Since the last wrap i have gone with the mid travel fox setup, a pre runner bumper (thanks @jeffz0rz), some plastidiped wheels and the removal of the fender flares, and some various black accents along the way.

i ended up buying a cheaper brand vinyl because the 3m cost was much more than a normal color, but that was a big mistake! buy the good stuff, it will go on so much easier!! this gave me trouble from the start.

as i just mentioned, I did away with the flares and i wrapped right over the holes on the fenders. the wrap hides the holes perfectly, and it gives the body a little more stance with the mid travel.

enough talk.. heres the pics (more or less a start to finish timeline)

Do you know that if you have the wrap laminated it will last twice as long and keep the stains and scratches down. Otherwise well done! I've done a few tacoma wraps and the 2012+ is much easier on the bumper!

hey man, sorry for the delay i have been tacomaworld MIA! The hood is a challenging piece of the wrap, just because of the hood scoop. I recommend removing the plastic piece inside the hood scoop and obviously detach the windshield spray dispensers.

Give yourself a couple extra inches for the edges than a normal piece, this will let you get more leverage when you are stretching the vinyl. Typically i remove half of the backing at a time and have the other half tacked up against the truck, but this piece is much easier when tacking the adhesive on top of the hood scoop first.

Once its on the hood scoop, worry about one side at a time. pull the vinyl all the way to the edge leaving the down slope of the hood scoop free. once you start setting the vinyl back towards the middle, use a heat gun and depress the vinyl onto that spot. work from the windshield to the grill because it is more flat. make sure there is room for air to escape as you move towards the grill. You will have to lift, and reapply multiple times to make sure you get all the bubbles out.

I have faith in you! give it a shot. watch some youtube videos on vinyl application if you have never been exposed to it before. Patience is your best friend. I wanna see pictures if you do it!!

YES!! I hated the fender flares. Mainly because it gave me less stance :D haha. They cover up the holes well on my wrap. make sure when you remove the plastic pieces you don't bend the metal around it, its super playable!
