Well, I managed to lose my Maratac copper flashlight in the Denver airport. After using it to check to see if the GF's throat was swelling shut or not it disappeared. Not blaming her of course. :D

So today I set out to find myself a new EDC light. I carry a bunch of 18650 li-ions for my crack pipe, I mean e-cig, so I figured I'd find a light that used the same batteries. Here's what I found.

This thing will run 1020 lumens for two hours, and has several lower output settings that last even longer. We'll see how it does for an EDC as it's definitely larger than my old light.

    R.I.P. lil copper :(

new one have a reflector in it, or is it just straight LED like the last one? 1020 is a lot of light to not have a reflector.

Yeah, I was bummed about losing that one. The copper versions were limited production units.

This one does have a reflector in it. Here are a couple of output shots that I found.

Thankfully I never got anything like that. My dad just had to threaten me and I knew to stop whatever it was I was doing

My traffic attorney told me that if your ticket is under 20 over the speed limit then there is a 99% chance he can get it dropped. I love my traffic attorney. I have a perfect driving record

The youth of today need more discipline. I swear we are raising a bunch of pussies these days.

If you're 15mph over the limit, does the officer still have a choice to arrest you right there for reckless endangerment?

I don't think so. Back in 2001 it was double the speed limit. That's why I got arrested. Last year I got tagged doing 59 in a 40 and just got a ticket. Paid my attorney $100 and had the ticket dismissed.

Ah. Gotcha. I heard that years ago, and it always kept me from going too fast. Usually if I'm 5 over, I feel like a badass

Every time I get a speeding ticket in houston I just higher a traffic attorney. They reschedule the court date, you show up, and they call your name for you to respond so they know you showed up and then you are dismissed. I've got through this process too many times to count.

If you get a speeding ticket in a small town or out in the country then you are screwed. Only options are defensive driving or deferred adjudication because the attorneys don't take cases out there.

I think the courts get some sort of kick back from the attorneys because every time I got to court there are hundreds of people getting tickets dismissed.
