Nice setup I have the rl450 which is the model made before that without the removable tool heads. Works great. The priming system is easy to setup and works well when setup correctly.

That is hardly an "entry level" 1911. Great choice on a solid weapon!

.22LR is still impossible to find here in MD. When it appears, it is immediately snatched up by those "In the know." 9mm, .45 ACP and others are now pretty much readily available around me. Sucks because I want to take my 10 year old shooting and so far I've only got him shooting 22.

It's the same around here. There were only about 20 boxes left on the shelf when I got there and a sign that said 2 box limit. All that was left was CCI Standard Velocity, $4 for 50 rnds. Pricey for .22 but still cheaper than the ammo for any of my other guns.

It's funny, the sign said 3 box limit, but they crossed out 3 and wrote in 2 above it  I'd be fine with a 2 box limit if they were getting the 525 rnd boxes!

If you want the shorts just for quiet shooting, there is also CCI's quiet 22. Sounds wise they're a lot like cb's in my 452.

I just like the fact that when I an squrle hunting with my henry it can hold 21 shorts, and that I don't have as much as a chance to alert other things I might want to shoot.

If you are a member of a more local firearms forum ask there for some. Between my dad and I we had a large supply that we've bought from sales over the year. Whenever we see someone needing 22 for the kiddos we've either sold or given them a 525 bulk pack so the youngster can shoot. All we ask for in return is pics of them having fun....sort of a bs checker.

When it comes to kids and someone needing help ammo wise for them I don't mind sharing what I have

Well that's an awfully nice gesture. I am on MDShooters, but not all that often. I'm not that desperate as I do have friends and family who would take care of me if needed. Here's a pic anyway though. My son shooting his Colt M4 Ops .22LR.
