Well good for you! But wait, how did you get 3&5/8" lift with billies at 2.5...?

    Sweet!!

Is his rear lifted at all? I heard 1.75 to level but I could be wrong

I would email the company you are buying from or Toytec. Toytec was quick and helpful for me and I didn't even buy from them.

BTW I would get 2" for 2 reasons:

    1. It will sag over time and you don't want bro lean
    2. If you are dead level anything in the back=bro lean

5100's are sweet. What's even better than aal are the ride rite airbags. Fully adjustable load and tension leveling. Does what aal does but also adjustable with any air compressor at a gas station, your home. or if you have the budget add the on board air compressor and adjust 1-3" on the fly.

The airbags neutralize any handling issues or sag when you've got a heavy load. I use em for work when towin trailers or stocked up with dirt or rocks (landscaping). Dump in 500 lbs, pump up the air bags to 60psi and the truck handles and rides as if it were empty. These things kick ass. Worth every penny.

With a 5100 setup how do you guys recommend lifting the back? I have an AAL and stock leaf pack I'm about to install but they have 50K miles and I'm afraid I'm gonna get a bro lean. This truck will need to last for quite a few years anyway so I would like a permanent option but nothing too expensive. And why are the air bags not more popular?

I agree...I don't know how I got that much lift either....my rear has an aal and 1.5 block in rear and has settled to 25 inches hub to fender...I don't think just an aal will get you level...even a after market leaf pack you might need an aggressive aal...I had a hard time matching my front end...it still leaves me scratching my head

I kind of want blocks, they are the least desirable lift but shit, it can't sag!

I agree.. I have a block ... according to some it will destroy a leaf pack over time.. ( it is said to) I have not witnessed it personally.. but in all honestly.. it keeps my factory ride.. its not stiff cause I didn't add a stronger AAL.. to stiffen it up..

yea.. mine was straight.. I added an AAL it gave me the factory curve back into my pack with an inch lift.. then added my block recently when I set my billies from 1.75 to 2.5

I will be using 5100s at 0 setting with 884s. I got a stock leaf pack and AAL but I'm pretty sure it's sagged. I am interested in those air bags, but I don't see why they aren't more popular...

1 the money and 2 its not exactly made to lift your truck but to stable the suspension under load..

I see... But also, I do sometimes have a load. If I want to carry 10 people in my bed up and down the beach, I'm gonna be at the tires! The air bags would provide lift and also allow to set for hauling right? It just seems like the benefit of each leaf option that you can adjust.

Am I giving them too much credit?

no I think you are right.. it def will assist the leaf pack.. but I wouldn't rely on them to do it all.. you also have to run a compressor and other things...

The ones I saw listed the compressor for free, is there anything else? And yes that is an added hassle I know
