Don't hit it. Either you fsb is machined and installed canted or the barrel is misalighned in the receiver

I would not hit an AR, an AK yes. If you can place 2 2x4 down the length of the barrel and see if you have some cant in the barrel. Pull the barrel and realign if possible. Find a good gunsmith and they can probably take care of this in about 5 min. I hate canted barrels.

Looks like the laundry bag method to me. I am assuming that's what he used, with a krylon paint.

I'm going to do the same method to my 10/22 takedown when I get that here shortly to blend it to the stock I got for it.

Plus, it is sitting on cardboard with the same color overspray so I would assume its done himself.

Right on. I'm still new to all of this so I'll Jane to look up the laundry bag method. I just finished my first AR build a few weeks ago. I was a budget build and I was able to get most of what's wanted for under $600. Funds are tied up in my newborn daughter right now :)

Good thing for funds to be tied up in.

You take a mesh laundry bag, cut it open so it is a single layer, spray a different color base coat, let it dry, then lay the mesh over it in different areas and apply the top coat. Works pretty well.

Cool. Sounds pretty simple. How do you paint the gun though, piece by piece? Or as is, fully assembled?

Either way. I am doing each piece separate.

Just wasn't sure cause it seems like the pattern won't match well doing it piece by piece, but then again it would be hard to get in all nooks and crannies while fully assembled. Can't wait to see how your's turns out. I'm just scared that I won't like it...then what? lol Maybe just do a test run on a PMAG.

...from the looks of it a "Magpul STR" stock... I have put this model on one of mine, and it's very nice, ...there's a friction lock lever on it, that eliminates the annoying "stock rattle" you get w/ most collapsible stocks...

Yup, just rustoleum and a cut bag. Just layer the colors.
