Damn dude. I understand the inability to get a position in your field of study, but is it absolutely necessary? Forgive me as I have not read all the previous posts concerning this but fuck, offing yourself for insurance doesn't seem like the best alternative.

I used to be hunting for a job for quite a while. I was a little more picky so I think I only applied to 30 or so jobs, but I could only get a few interviews. It was really discouraging. I even contemplated moving somewhere else, such as North Dakota oil fields.

Finally I accepted a new job yesterday that will be a great improvement and has a lot of future growth within. Putting in my 2 weeks was hard, but I'm moving on and moving up.

Good luck! One thing that I did was rebuild my resume and cover letter several times before I got what I feel like is the best layout. Or you can shell out $100 and have a pro do it.

You need to keep positive in the shittyest of situations.

Maybe you could do some gay porn or maybe ho yourself out? Anything is better than killing yourself especially if you have a family.

I don't know about you guys but there is PLENTY of work to be had here on the East coast. My work has hired so many new people I don't even know who half of the office is. We have also hired 20-30 warehouse staff.

Everything is booming here from construction to the need for nurses.

Sounds like from earlier posts your in the science industry? ? this is just coming from my corner of the world. Go down to your local high school or any high school, get CORI'd and sign up to be a substitute teacher. Getting an intelligent person in the classroom who knows his shit is more worthwhile than some idiot that's there to baby sit. Plus depending on where you are the pay is pretty good. My wife got a temporary sub position some years back and for that year she made more than I did, and I was making pretty good money at the time.

Added note, I was only meaning this as a temporary thing. Time wise not the best best time of year since it's the end of the school year for most school systems but you could at least set yourself up for the new school year if you haven't found anything yet. ..

Good luck to you. I can't even get a job at academy in customer service. I just don't get how they choose who will be a beneficial team member.
