    I see the US ones have the weather app through the data on your phone via bluetooth. How come the Tacoma is Canada does not offer this?

    It's feature by the weather channel and information comes over the HD radio signal. Do you have HD radio in Canada?

    From what I understand (and someone correct me if I'm wrong) the 14 uses the HD radio signal to received weather info. This is problematic at best because it can be a signal no where close to where you actually are at the moment and basically becomes a useless feature.

    The 13 uses the phones data plan and is much more accurate.

    I think you nailed it. My 2014's manual said it gets the info from the HD signal and it was always saying I was in the next city until I got downtown. One reason why I replaced it with a Pioneer AVH-4000nex
