    I'm sure there is lots of discussion on this somewhere, but it's kind of gross how much it costs to get quality parts over the border, isn't it? If I just drove to the US and purchased all my add-ons down there, I could probably save a few thousand dollars. The extra freight and duties are hefty. I really wish prices up here were comparable. End rant.

    I was going to ask. I still have my last couple invoices from the CBSA when I got my stuff across the border. On all of them I got charged with HST on the CAN value of the goods, but no duty fees.

    They don't charge you anything if you drive across with items installed. There is no way to prove it's new.

    A birdie told me that at this time, if you have a receipt from Cali or Washington they will search your vehicle. Not sure why.

    I keep seeing all these discussions about big meets in the states. Is there ever decent size meet ups in Western Canada? I would take a few days off and travel a ways to attend a decent meet up in BC or Alberta.

    Only one I know of is usually whipsaw. Never been though. There maybe a yukon trip sometime in the future. Have to get a heads up trail map and figure out a route.
