    I ran into a problemtoday when I scheduled my truck for an oil change. I was told that I would haveto pay for my oil change because I did not purchase my truck in the US and thatthey would not honor my Toyota care (last I checked Hawaii was one of the 50states).

    Let me give you alittle back ground information, I am the original owner of my 2013 Tacoma thatI purchased brand new from a Toyota dealer in Hawaii with 6 miles on it. I justshipped the truck to Texas since I had to move for my work. The truck now has 10kon it and is within the two year 25k Toyota care plan. The Texas Dealer that Ischeduled the oil change with said they would not honor the Toyota care andinstructed me to call the Toyotanational customer service number. When I called Toyota customer service thelady that helped me was very nice, but she was not able to give me an answerright away and needed more time to look into the issue. So I hope to hear backfrom her within the next few days. Dose this seem odd to any oneells? Just curious if anyone has heard of anything like this?

    Nice truck. Call a different dealer. Any Toyota dealer should honor the service warranty but you are better off going somewhere that wants your business.

    I had a similar issue with my Toyota Care. I purchased my Toyota Care in FL and had it serviced in the midwest. The dealer in the midwest said that because my vehicle was under "Southeast Toyota" that their system has no record of it. They made me provide documentation stating that I had Toyota Care and then had to update the Toyota database manually over the phone I think. Like the previous poster said, go to another dealer....

    Yep, go to another dealer. I bought my 13 in New Orleans and had it serviced way up north while I was up there for work. No issues, they did not even question the Toyota Care. Did not have to pay.

    This might be the reason for FMF's "complications". Some states are under independent distributor networks (i.e. dealers don't buy cars from Toyota directly).

    Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and North and South Carolina are supplied by Southeast Toyota Distributors, LLC

    Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Texas are supplied by the Gulf States Toyota, Inc.

    Well the Toyota customer service said that the lower 48 will not honor my Toyota care. Also Guam and Hawaii are servco Toyota and have there own separate funds and separate Toyota care and they are not interchange. I hope that this dose not cause any issues for warenty work in the future.
