    I have a few mods
so today I was trying to put in my DS spacer and noticed that my Ujoint just aft of the slip yoke is done, I guess sometime the past day or so it died on me, but majority of the vibs are gone after putting the shims in, just have a squeaking/clicking sound coming from the driveshaft...which is most likely that dead ujoint

With out lift there are no weak links.. At 80k now & Ive run the shit out of snow white and the drive train is still tight..I had a real good early AM pic. of her sitting still in a cloud of her own tire smoke:burnrubber: but lost it in my pc crash. Lifts look good but are endless nick-nack bullshit problems. Been there done that on my 92 4x4... :crapstorm:

I agree with you Jim but I think it's the fact that a lot of people on here lift their trucks and leave it incomplete. You can't just bolt on new springs and/or coilovers and not put on shims, better bumpstops, extended brakelines, realignment, driveline spacers and expect it all to not fail prematurely somehow. You really need to cover all bases with these trucks and most don't. Yea you can get away with it a lot but sooner or later something fails and people sit there and wonder why their truck breaks so much and that life is out to get them when it's simply incomplete upgrades.

x2 including just budgeting a lift and not accounting for the extra costs of increased wear on certain items (u-joints, carrier bearings cv's for the ones that have them :D, etc.)

true, with my truck I haven't had much time to get these parts the NEED to be installed put in. I just recently got to putting in the shims, ubolt flip and new bumpstops. I just need to order the CB drop from OME and then this weekend gonna get my DS spacer in and replace all 3 ujoints now that I actually have the time to do that this weekend. I also have new brake lines to get put in and new drum brake parts (which im not messing with) that need to get put in, it's just I never have the time to get any of it done

I would take her to an aftermarket store to get this stuff done but the last time I went to an aftermarket store to get stuff done, the completely fucked EVERYTHING up that I asked to get done, put the brake lines I bought for the rear in the front (even though I said for the rear), my coilovers werent at the height I asked for, and their so called "allignment" pulled extremely hard to the right...so that left a bad taste for aftermarket stores for me

I was a little confused what was causing that noise the day after I put the shims in, but after trying to get the bolts off to install to DS spacer, I was wondering why the DS was rotating so much, so for the 18th time I checked the Ujoints and low and behold the on right behind the slip yoke finally died
