Can you still buy a Baja suspension kit?

    That's my bet, if the VSC acted up because they failed to reset it (per the manuals specs) and there was an accident because of it they (or the tech) could be in some deep trouble.

    As I said above about five times, why - in my case - bother with a VSC calibration when everything works just fine and the alignment only required an adjustment of .05" to get the left toe into specs?

    Because the manual says so? Because he can? Because if he doesn't the VSC can kick in at a bad time?

    It'll be fine as is with a .05" toe change on the left tire

    Of course they set it to Toyota specs, I already said so.

    The only adjustment after the Baja kit was installed and BFG 265/75/16 tires was the left toe. The left toe was adjusted from 0.19" to 0.07".

    Factory specs for left toe are 0.03" - 0.14". How difficult is that to understand? Apparently pretty difficult for a few of you.

    Besides the obvious, not every suspension installation will require a .05" adjustment. I have owned three tacomas and one FJ cruiser and all of them have been lifted. Two were done with a friend, another done by Toyota, and the FJ was done by a local mechanic. Every lift was different and all were not within alignment specs after the lift installation. The way I see it, it is worth a $70 alignment than $1000 worth of tires and poor handling. I guess it is a precautionary step. I can testify that there is a noticeable difference in handling with a vehicle that is not within alignment specs and one that is. Just because your truck was only .05" off, doesn't mean that every install will have your same results I guess you got lucky.

    As far as VSC, I consider it a precautionary step as well. It is documented by Toyota and recommended by toyota mechanics and non toyota mechanics. My uncle is a non-toyota mechanic and he was the first to tellme to do it.

    As stated before, do it or don't do it. It is completely up to you. For me, it is worth the money to be sure.

    I thought only Toyota could calibrate the VSC? Isn't that a Techstream thing?
