Fab'd me up some cross rails that i made into my track system and finished up my bed rack! Overall i'm really happy with the way it turned out, very sturdy. No shake what so ever. Cleaned up her up inside and out!

The rack is a Curt rack but I made the crossbars into the track system that the rack is mounted to.

Thanks, I'm very pleased with it. I can grab ahold of it and shake the entire truck with just the rack and no give in the setup. I've also stood in it washing the top of the cab just to see how sturdy it felt. Very pleased.

It's nice and high, so you can fit a lot of stuff under it.

Thanks guys! Yeah that's what I was kindly leaning toward putting it up a little higher. I can remove it from the tracks very easy if i have to haul anything that doesn't fit under it. I kinda wish i had made it a tad lower so it wouldn't be over top of my rearview seats when looking out the mirror. Not like you can see too much around the rear headrests anyways!

Curious. How do people go about cleaning their engines these days without getting water in electrical components around the engine? No one steam cleans engines anymore (That I can find). I've seen people just pop their hoods and spray the hell out of their engine bays at the car wash, but no way in hell am I going to do that!

Rinse off your motor (cold motor of course) with water hose. Spray with engine degreaser and let sit for 15 minutes or so then spray with engine detailer and let sit for 15 minutes or so. Start your truck and let it run for a bit afterwards. Just cover your alternator with a plastic bag then remove it before you start your engine and you'll be fine.

4, 3/8 thick metal pieces about 3-4" long that I drilled and threaded holes in. Slide em down the track to wherever I want the rack to secure at and tighten the bolts up.
