I was wondering if there is a kit out there that will allow me to low my 2009 Pre Runner. It seems as if every single kit is for the X-Runner and not the actual Pre Runner model truck. If you know of a kit can you please tell me or send me a link to the website :)

    Thanks,
    Jake

If you wanted a lowered truck you shouldn't have bought a prerunner. The prerunner uses the 4WD frame and everything aftermarket is designed to lift not lower the truck.

There's lowering kits out there, I just don't know where to find them. They could in fact be custom but I'm not sure.

Why cut the springs? Just remove them, let it ride on bump stops...:p

I know C2C used to have a drop kit but I think they're history. That Tundraracing one above is the only other one I found when I researched it a while back.

there are 01-04 double cabs on 2wd frames, i am not sure how much fab to make the body mounts line up on the frame. not sure if thats the case for the 2nd gen. i am guessing you never seen the bagged white double cab from DH Built.

Stop hating on this guy. He wants something other than the majority and is chastised for it? I'm not for lowered trucks either but I do appreciate the lines on the x-runners. It would be very interesting to see a double cab lowered and modded to look like an x-runner.

    DO IT!

On the 5 lugs the upper control arm mounts are mounted on the frame and on the Pre-Runner the upper control arm and top shock mount are mounted higher...

    I would've said swap out shock/spring but I don't think that'd work either...

Tundra Racing looks like a good option for you...

Just for support to the OP, I was also considering the same thing. For those who question why, as soon as you can get a 2wd non-Pre-runner double cab, let us know.....
