What does insurance say? I'd call it totaled. Mostly because with that much damage, I wouldn't want it back.

edit: and don't forget, their drunk client hit you...

Tell them with that much repair work you don't feel the vehicle would be safe anymore as the original integrity of the materials has been compromised beyond what could be considered acceptable.

would push hard to have it totaled. No way i'd want it back. Little things will bother you after that kind of repair.

Remind them if they dont total it that you want to be compensated for deminished resale value due to the accedent.

Given the numbers, I can't see how they wouldn't total it.

I'd be surprised, but pleased if it were totaled. $11K in repairs with a $17K value, that doesn't come close to totaling in value. Shoot, we had a $13K vehicle with $10K in damages that wasn't totaled. And friends of ours with a less than 1 year old Acura MDX many years ago had just under $40K in damages and it wasn't totaled. That had the rear squished into the 2nd row seats and the front mangled (got rear ended on the freeway while stopped in traffic by a kid in a truck not paying attention).

Good luck with that since the law in Calif does not allow for diminished value compensation. Just another way Calif screws victims.

Leather, heated seats, wood grain, captains chairs, fully motorized. Even the pedals move front and back LoL. Has a memory function for drivers but I haven't figured that out yet. Oh yeah and the tow mirrors are fully motorized, haha. Fold, extend and retract lol

My GMC had all that. Plus, according to the salesman, the bolts were tighter than a Chevy :D

I have to say that leather heated seats are the best. Electric adjustment is so nice too. I laughed about the heated seats until after a hockey game. Back was killing me...turned on the seat and all was well in the world.
