Nice pic! Its a personal thing for me. my dad and i werent all that close growing up. I could count how many times we went shooting with both hands. After he retired though we actually have gotten pretty close. Soccer and shooting have been our two main things we love ot do/watch together. We go shooting together at least once a month on average now. So anytime theres a father needing ammo for a kiddo it hits that personal note and i could careless about needing it for myself.

But here is my latest buy. Not all bought in the last 48 hours but a few of the parts were :)

I wish I could find some, that's all my trapping gun will feed and shoot reliably.

Almost bought a Voodoo tactical single point sling but wasn't sure if I'd really get the use out of it. Anyone have experience with this brand? I saw it at a Sportsman's Warehouse for $17

Did you say hoarder? I prefer "avid collector" of .22LR's:

No experience with their slings, but they have good bags and cases.

Not to brag... But, I have in excess of 80,000 rounds of various calibers. Most of it starting w/ .22 :D (actually 5.5 but you get what I'm saying)

If you're gonna hoard I say hoard gold, silver, and lead.;)

I don't hoard I just find it funny people say we have a shortage of .22's. All this is from Walmart minus the Blazer's. I have a harder time getting .380's, .357 and .38+ than .22's. So I trade my .22's for other ammo. And yes all this was picked up from Walmart just this last few months.

I have not seen 22 in my Wal Mart since November. They had 3 boxes of 555 Winchester white box, I bought 2, one for me and one for my cousin. The pawn shops always have some, buts that's because the mark it up by 300%.

before Sandy hook I was buying a box or two of .22lr every week. I havent bought any since then.... Wal mart gets it in stock but the only people that get it are the ones there when the truck gets unloaded and standing in line.

x2, last week was the first time I've seen 22 on the shelf anywhere in a long time and it was $4/50 and a 2 box limit.

Yeah, it's more or less impossible to find here, too. The guy at Walmart says they don't get much, and it's the same three or four guys who buy it all up as soon as it gets put in the ammo case.

It's not like I ever shot a lot of .22, but it would be nice to be able once in a while. I wanted to buy a nice Savage bolt action to use once a month on the 200 yard knockdown range, but it wouldn't even make sense at this point. .223 WSSM is easier to find than .22 around here. Haha.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
cabelas online gets it in batches and for normal prices. that's what pretty much started the ammo availability thread on here.
