I just filled up today. 287 miles, 16.4 gallons for a 17.5 per gallon tank. Better than the 16.5 I got on the last tank.

Started using the fuelly site so I can track it. CA gas sucks balls, though. Ethanol and oxygenation make it very inefficient compared to gas that is left the hell alone. Leave it to CA to screw shit up...

This was at a consistent 75 MPH. Nothing in truck except me and about 30-40 lbs. of stuff in the back seat. I'll update with 1/2 mileage if I get a chance to.

I put gas in, it goes forward and sometimes backward. 1/2 the time the gauge does not work right and when the little light goes on, I fill it. That means it works. When I swap in the diesel, I'll let you know.

So i've kept up with my MPGs from 15 miles to 14000 miles so far, and I have averaged 17.5. I'ved had as high as 22 and as low as 15. this has been a seriously mixed driving. Everything from in the mountains to Tahoe, down to the beach down the pacific coast.

I have a 2014 tx Baja and I only get 12 MPG city and don't understand why. My old truck was a 07 Tacoma got about 15-16 MPG and it was on 33's but was 2wheel drive.

I'll be putting in my 4th tank on Saturday, each tank seems pretty similar - about 18.5.

This tank is more highway than the previous 3, but doesn't look like its going to be much higher. I'm sitting at 250 miles and down to a 1/4 tank.

Mxchic, you must sit still an awful lot. I can't imagine getting 12. On a previous tank I was at the lake with my jet-ski (50+ miles of towing) and had a ton of idle time and a bit of 4x4 time and still did 18.

You can't really expect accurate mileage readings until street 1000 miles; the engine is still breaking in.

I drive 140 miles round trip each day. My last tank was 20.5 and average around 19.5 mpg at 65 mph.

I actually get worse mileage on a full highway run. These trucks don't do well at high speeds for MPGs, especially if its windy. I got 14 one time on a tank during a road trip, 100% highway with a strong head wind. My best tanks are usually mixed driving, not that I've ever had an awesome tank. I've never even seen 19, 18.9 I think is my best ever.

The last several tanks I have been getting 21.2 in 50-50 highway/secondary roads. Not bad for a 4 wheel drive, with auto tranny.

Not to argue with you, but I do a lot of freeway driving and I've been seeing pretty good mileage with my rig. I drive my 2013 access cab 4X4, auto transmission 5k-7k miles a month. With 3-4 hour jaunts on the freeway at 70 miles an hour I've been consistently seeing 20-21 miles per gallon. I've gotten 400 miles on a tank a few times. I have a heavy bed shell and 200 pounds of work tools in the back too. I run full synthetic oil and 91 octane gas.
