    5100 set to max, pending LSD and TRD CAI
    If a professional wants your truck then nothing will stop them. But a chipped truck is a big deterrent; most thefts are crimes of opportunity. It’s easier to move on to the next truck and not have to deal with the hassle.

    My inlaws had their F250 stolen and it was found a few miles north of the boarder a week later. Police and the insurance company said their year and the one prior were the most popular F250 and F150 for the runners (illegals and drugs) to take. The years after theirs had chipped keys which made them less popular. Lower caliber thiefs I guess. LOL

    My 07 Tacoma DC was stolen Jan. 12th-13th 2009. Never seen it again after I went to bed about 11pm Jan 12th. If they want it, they will get it no matter who/what it is.

    Stick on hood scoop from Autozone.
    I was parked at school last year and the Chevy Tahoe parked in the stall next to me was broken into and stolen. The police (actually I think it was Border Patrol) found it the next day in the desert completely gutted and striped of almost all the parts. I guess I got lucky. :eek:

    Ummmm my 2009 4x4 SR5 came standard with a chipped key, I know so because I covered my key base with aluminum foil and tried to start my truck and it would not start, ripped off the foil and it started right up.
