What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

It's closer to like a 34.6x11.8 I think.

Not quite as big as a 35x12.5r15. Especially not as wide.

Ordered Moog LBJ's and bilstein 5100 fronts today.. Napa ultra premium rotors yesterday.

 

What are good brake pad replacements? Any that can be found at auto shops? thanks.

That's what I used to get my numbers, which is why it's exactly what I said

But, every tire measures differently. Plus you have to factor in wheel width and vehicle weight.

Finally built up the courage/found an adequate Allen wrench to take off my sway bar. Haven't driven it yet as I'm also trying to mount some new lights on the bumper.

Definitely, so many different factors. We could all run the same tire and size and everyone's could look different.

Nope, put it on 2 weekends ago and was studying all this weekend...

Next weekend I'll be trying to get a bunch of maintenance done.

May get to use in 4th of July weekend. Depends on if I go home or not. If I'm stuck in Missouri there won't be any open spots to camp... Haha

 

The sway bar link bolts have a nut that goes over a bolt but there's no head on the bolt to grab while loosening the nut. The threaded end of the bolt has 6mm hex on it instead. All I had were the little L shaped hex wrenches and couldn't get enough leverage with them.

 

Hmm, don't remember what I did then. Didn't use an allen wrench to get mine off though haha

 

When I get mine... Again... I'm probably gonna set up in our pasture the first night haha

 

Haha yeah, I really hope I am able to go home...

 

Mine were pretty damn rusted on. I could turn the nuts about a half turn and it'd just spin the bolt after that. That's when the hex/Allen was needed

 

I know what bolts your talking about, I undid them when I out my lift on.

Brent, I'll take some pics tomorrow, I'm sure you'll remember them if you saw them. But the other hand, maybe not. Only one of mine needed the Allen, the pass side was rusted even to keep the bolt from spinning.

 

Oh I remember them, just know I didn't use an allen wrench.

 

I had to on driver side that was it. I think I may remove my sway bar tomorrow.

 

What coils/shocks do you have up front?
