TSB for driveline vibrations done and acceleration vibes at 25-30 mph are gone. Now get them when decelerating at same speeds. Dealer said original BFG`s were out of round and could not be road force balanced. Got a new set of Michelin LTX MS 2 under warranty. Still have vibes! I am sure it has something to do with TSB. Dealer says they will open a case with Toyota and we will go from there. I am thinking of saying I want original leaf pack put back in as this was not as bad as it is now. Any one with same experience?

I have a very minor shudder during deceleration that wasn't present before the TSB. Its very minor and overall 1000% better than it was before the TSB.

My experience is exactly the same as the two above.

The vibrations on decel are very minor, and don't really bother me.

The vibrations I had on acceleration before the TSB made me hate the truck. (I opened an arbitration case with Toyota shortly before the new TSB was released)

I'm new so bare with me. I just bought a 09 DCSB and have a 2.5" 5100 lift and AAL in the rear. I'm running a 285/75/16 tire as well and upon putting those on I did the spedo calibration. I recently removed the stock springs W/the AAL and replaced them with the OME rear leaves. The truck sits slightly higher in the rear but barely noticeable. Last night, for the first time, at about 50mph on a slight curve, my brakes and steering along with beeping and dash lights went crazy. It was so fast on and off I was unable to see what lights. Is this "TSB". I would really appreciate some help, it scared the crap out of me, I had my 11 year old daughter with me!

No the TSB applies only to a vibration under acceleration and sometimes deceleration.

I followed another thread that you were documenting your issue. What happened with arbitration? I had gone through hell and back with my dealer and they finally offered to buy my truck and sell me a new one at a fair deal but I didn't feel that I should have been out any money. They also understood if I wanted to go to arbitration but I have held of for the moment.

that was the vehicle stability control kicking in. Because you are lifted it becomes overly sensitive, you need to have the dealer re-zero the sensors to account for the lift.

I had the TSB done and am in the same boat. Pretty bad vibs while slowing between 30 and 20. Also now have some vibs at 58-65, haven't driven faster than that since the TSB.

Shortly after I filed the papers, the regional Toyota service rep contacted me directly. He was the one who told me that the TSB was going to be released soon, and offered me a credit of one month's payment if I was willing to skip the arbitration and wait for the TSB.

I agreed to that, under the condition that if either: The TSB wasn't released within 60 days or; was released but didn't resolve the issue, then I would reopen the arbitration case.

The guy was great to work with, and kept me posted right up until the TSB was released. He also worked with my local dealer to make sure they were ready to do the work (and had the angle finder) before I brought my truck in, as well as went there to watch them do the work on my truck.

Those of you who have the decel vib after the TSB, would it stop you from having it done since you know the outcome? My truck is supposed to go in this week for the TSB, now I'm re thinking if a decel vibration is going to show up. Currently I have the terrible vibration on hard take off but i have learned to live with it and pretty much don't get on the truck, but decel is something that occurs every time i drive it. I am amazed at how hard it is for Toyota to figure out a non vibrating drive train.

Did those that had the vib, before the fix, notice vibration under deceleration?? I have decel vib and wonder if this is going to be worsened.

It's not supposed to be there after the fix...Page 20 of the 0008-14 states, in Step 9. "Test drive vehicle and confirm the vibration has been eliminated, ENSURE THAT THERE IS NO VIBRATION UNDER DECELERATION."

So, before I submit to this fix:
1: Is there a consensus that decel vib is not eliminated/worsened by this fix??
2: Is there some suspicion that dealers are actually getting the fix right??? As a wild guess are they installing the dampener in the steering wheel correctly?

totally worth it.... the vib on decel is so small compared to the very annoying accel vibe.

I for one am sorry I had it done. Vibes on acceleration were tolerable and I learned how to drive around them. Now it feels like driving over rumble strips when decelerating from 25-30 mph. Over all ride quality has suffered also. Dealer to get back to me about having district rep looking at Taco. If no improvement, may demand to have original leaf pack reinstalled. I wonder if pinion angle is within spec, driveshaft needs to be rebalanced or install of TSB was botched?

I was happier before having the TSB done. Have not carried it back to the dealer... I was waiting to drive on the interstate to see how it did at higher speeds, which I did yesterday. Bad vib from 30-20 on decelleration and small vib running 58-65.

I might just install an icon aal and 2" shims myself to see if I can fix the vibration before the tsb. If it gets worse or I dislike it I can always go back to where I am now. I to have learned to drive around the take off vib but a decel vib you can't do that.

Same here. If I had it to do over, I would still absolutely have the TSB done.

another plus on my truck was that my 2013 TRD off road came with the SUPER weak 2+1 leaf pack and i had them put on the 3+1 leaf pack which made things better.
