    Hi,Guy's

I'm Bruce and I am new to the Taco World of 4 wheel drive as I have wanted one of these for years and the time was right.

So pulled the trigger 2 weeks ago and ordered it and she was unloaded Wednesday off the train and delivered to me today.

I think I am really going to like this new adventure in life at 50!!!

I am already online looking at stuff like a topper shell or fiberglass cover, bed rug, lighting etc: I think the bug is going to be bad…..

It's going to be bad I just ordered new Weather tech floor mats for the front and back, seat covers….

Going Monday to look at Topper and hard fiberglass covers to figure out what way to go….

Has anyone done either and have any pros and cons of both?

I did have a 2010 Ford Ranger that had a Leer topper on it with a bed rug that worked fine but the bed was longer as well..…

Welcome Bruce, I'm 58 soon to be 59 and I started modding my truck two years ago I'm having a great time doing it but like river rat 69 said, get off TW now if you want to save your wallet it's not only fun but it can be quite expensive when you get into it and TW is very addicting.

    Hi Chris,

I have only owned Leer Toppers in the past and the fit and finish was never great, such as gaps, edges at the bed and corners of the bed.I don't see a lot of Snugtops around here in Va as there is no dealers I could find.I think Leer dominates the market here in the Southeast.

How is the fit and finish at those locations and have you had any issues with paint fade lock mechanism or screen latches?

Yea Bruce I started out with good stuff and then found out there was better stuff and then I changed some stuff and beefed up some stuff, I'm not even close to the club house turn on this build I just don't see an end to it, the only thing I do know is I will not go Long Travel I'm a little to old to be jumping in a truck anyway. You will have a great time with your truck. Good luck with your build.

Go with a tri-fold tonnoeau cover instead. Keeps what you need dry and comes off in under 2 minutes to haul large items. By far the best addition to my truck
