Safe as in to where there's not a chance that something will randomly fail halfway. Mainly the wheel bearings since they are currently roaring (at least that what I think), so they could seize up at any time.

The ball joints are just leaking grease, the passenger tie rods are seized, and the carrier bearing is just due for replacement. So those two things don't necessarily make it unsafe.

Yeah, I think my inners are fine since the alignment hasn't changed from what I can tell. But if I'm having to replace everything on the passenger side I want the driver side to match when it comes to wear.

 

I'm not even 100% sure that is what's causing the noise unfortunately. No play at all, but it's only at certain speeds and goes away on relatively hard right turns. So I'm just guessing that it's passenger side wheel bearing. Might as well replace them anyways at 135,000 miles. Can't hurt. If it doesn't solve the noise then my next guess would be because of bad alignment and that I haven't had the tires re-balanced since they were new.

I'm thinking this day is what had cause many of my issues I'm currently having with the truck... Haha

I couldn't justify the price of OEM ball joints....

I'm getting raped as it is just for labor on the wheel bearings and ball joints....

 

Moog for tie rods and ball joints.

Moog ball joints are nearly 1/3 the price of OEM IIRC.

 

I was going to put in my new low range ball joints but my 6 month old steering rack is already wearing out From what it sounds like they gave us the wrong one and aren't admitting it. So get to replace that again and pay for another alignment etc. annoying.

 

What do you mean by them giving your the wrong one?

 

Only was like 150 maybe 160 for OEM iirc?

Sounds to me that f you already have cameras, and in exchange for not using the cameras you already have you get 35% off theirs. Have them give you a couple cameras and mounts, or a much steeper discount.
