Very light pink. Not brown. Sitting in my shaker bottle in the heat of Arizona may have just changed it's color. It tastes and smells fine

Ha I once left a case of beer in my truck in the GA heat and about half of the tops exploded off; it was a damned nightmare.

But, if it passes the smell test, it's got to be fine, right? Assault already gives me (and most everyone else) the shits, so what's the worst that could happen???

I hate the assault shits. It mixes with the beta alanine itches and ends up being a clusterfuck of pain and misery.

not a troll...but yes new in this thread. yes iv been through numerous CPT courses and finishing an exercise science degree. Wasn't sure where you were coming from, if you have tried it in the past and it wasn't for you then thats completely fair to not like it. Most people have no experience and hop on the anti-crossfit trend because there buddy said it sucked and its just as bad as the annoying cult like pro-crossfit people on social media, who are always terrible at it, doing it wrong and making it look like a joke. Just like the majority of the coaches. I used to do the training with a body building/strength emphasis on certain days and endurance cardio on others, i felt in shape but turned out it was to segmented. the first time i tried Crossfit i figured id kill it because i was stronger than everyone in there and i had better endurance...what happened was i fell right on my face the second i had to run and lift weights in the same workout, i failed and got beat by almost everyone. Crossfit is a GPP (general physical preparedness) program that focuses on functional movements and thats why i like it, i don't wana go to the gym and do bicep curls and lateral raises because its not practical for hardly anything other than being good at them in the gym and getting some big arms to impress the ladies (guess thats kinda important though) id rather use that time to do something thats help me in day to day life.

When i train clients who want to be fit i want intensity (unless they have a goal of pure strength or body building) and i want it to be measurable, because intensity yields results. intensity=power, which is (FxD)/T which can give you ft pounds which correlates to horse power. lets say i weigh 200 pounds and if i do 75 air squats in a minute I'm moving my body say 2ft. in that minute ill generate 15,000ft pounds. but if i do 10 back squats at 400 pounds i only generate 12,000ft pounds. i don't use heart rate very often because it doesn't measure intensity well. its a correlation to it but not a good measure. astronauts are at max heart rate before launch, or if someone shoots at you in a field your HR is gona be damn near max.

sorry if i came off the wrong way or like a dick, just crossfit type programing has worked excellent for me and lots of clients iv had. don't get me wrong like i said in another post i hate this brand its turned into and how the community is becoming. but the original ideas of it are great and better than a lot of other accredited programs out there (nasm, ace, issa, acsm etc...) in my opinion.

the box sounds like it has terrible coaches iv never sustained an injury in 3 years and have seen hardly any. i wouldn't suggest going there again haha. you still gain muscle doing Crossfit just not like you would with a bodybuilding or traditional type lifting program, but you will burn more fat and will get better at other skills. building muscle isn't the only form of fitness, and if its all your concerned about then yeah i wouldn't do crossfit. as a crossfit competitor i do traditional strength training as well as crossfit met cons. I'm not gona do kipping pull-ups when I'm doing strength training, insted i do strict weighted so that when i do my WODs i can do more butterfly pull-ups and knock them out faster. kipping pull-ups are not bad on your shoulders just like swimming if done wrong then its going to be hard on them, along as you have proper technique and adequate shoulder strength to be doing them in the first place they are fine, if you can't do at least 10 strict pull-ups then i don't like people to do them.

I love the prickly feeling in small doses. Don't ever try Stimul8 by Finaflex! I had to quit my workout because it was so intense.

Sorry for the plethora of posts tonight, fellas...I went 6 days without tw'ing at the beach and am finally getting my fix lol

I've been doing a lot of max effort lifts lately, mainly in the squat and dl, feel like I might have tweaked it a bit

If you do it for contractions it's not too bad. But free weight is always best. I'm not too disappointed since I have done them before.

    That's new. How's your form?

been working on both, but they're to the point where I'm confidant to move to the heavier side of things (at least for me)

Trying to figure out where it's coming from. The pain isnt much more than "noticeable" but I want to fix it

don't think it can be from a little buttwink, only thing I can think of is too many heavy pulls in the DL

Did 315 really easily on DL the other day. That's been my max for a while. Idnd't try to go any higher. Probably should have. That's the first time I've gone heavy (for me) in a few months.

Anybody seen the "team Hercules" workouts The Rock has been putting online? I tried the arm workout today. Pretty good pump. might try the other ones he's put up.
