Right on thanks Luka. Are the rear shocks going to extend once i take that clamp thing off of them? Should I wait to take that off until I have them bolted on the bottom or is it easy to manipulate? I think Ive seen your truck at the air guard lot. Ive been stalking it the past couple of weeks checking out your setup. I lifeguard over at the beach every now and then. After checking out yours with the AAL, idk if my dakars alone are going to be enough for my spindles and billys.

If u leave the 5100s at stock height your rear will still be a little lower.

the u-bolts? yeah, they will extend. you'll have to remove the rear shocks completely to install the leaf springs. more room you have, the better.

Sorry not the Ubolts. Out of the package the shocks have this clamp on them. After i take that off, do they extend? and is it hard to manipulate it into the holes after that?

Thanks Randy. How are you liking your set up now? Im debating the spindles with billys at .85 or leaving em at 1.75. Any vibes? If so, did the OME carrier drop fix it or did you have to use other things too.

yeah it'll come down when they're unstrapped. Its easier to put in the top first, then you can push the bottom up and line it up.

I did mine on the driveway with the jack. The shocks are usually longer, so even if you put it in the air you may still need to muscle it a lil

I'm loving my current set up, although I've only had it for 3 weeks. I ran spindles with billies at 0 and the dakar pack without aal for a year before I added OME 883s and the OME aal. The carrier bearing drop from OME was installed when I had the Dakars installed. I haven't noticed any vibes with both set ups, so I didn't add any shims, although every truck is different.

If you are looking to be leveled out, I would recommend the OME aal if you set the billies at 1.75. If you set them at 0.85, it would be pretty level with just the Dakars.

Gents....anyone interested in a group buy? I just purchased the Hood Kit, but I also asked him about a group buy discount and I am awaiting his answer. We can have them all sent to one address and save on the shipping and just pass them out once they arrive. I'll get more details on his group offer once he PM's me back. Just getting a feeler out as to who and how many would be interested..:D
