No, the best way to piss me off is disrespect the armed forces that protect your ass every day. You have no idea what military families back home go through. That "little thing" does bother me, you are basically disrespecting my entire family.

It's one thing to crack jokes to other friends in other branches and shit, but when people that have no idea what military life is like make fun of it is when it pisses me off. I normally don't take things personally over the internet, or in person for that matter, for some reason that just really pissed me off lol.

Nope. I'd never use it either even though it would be cool to know. They teach that stuff in tech school to those that need it for their job.
Military life? By this do you mean being a military dependent or have you actually been in?

I know it's not like a year long or months thing but, My dad was a firefighter for 30 years I know what it's like to wonder if he's gonna come home or not. See your dad get blown out of a house then come to me about worrying. Many of family have been or are in the military, you're not the only one so stop acting like it.

Military life has it's ups and downs.

War sucks and people die. There are times to be respectful and serious, but if you can't joke about it sometimes you're going to drive yourself and others crazy.
Yeah. Like I said, would be cool to know.

The gf's dad was Army National Guard and he asked me if I knew how to do that now and was confused by the fact that we weren't taught that.

I never said I was the only one. Try being 6 years old, have waited all week, just to talk to your dad. But you can't, because his base was bombed and he had to leave and no one could tell my family if he was still alive. I bet if I started cracking jokes about how firefighters don't do anything you'd get pissed off pretty quick.

Point is, if someone (whether it be me or anyone else) says something offends them, you should probably shut the fuck up before they get even more pissed. And to anyone that thinks I can't "take a joke" can fuck right off. There's a VERY fine line between a joke and saying something downright fucking stupid.

With that said, I don't want to talk about it anymore. Seems like there's been a whole bunch of drama in here lately, let's try to keep the good vibes up.

I bet you could make jokes about firefighters and I'd be fine lol It's your opinion so it doesn't bother me. I understand where you're coming from with not knowing what's going on with him but you have got to lighten up. Especially if you're gonna be in military too

I don't think I've quite earned that right yet. Have I seen more than many in their Air force career, yes. But I have a ton of respect for those guys I work with that are outside the wire day in and day out.
