Sold my scoot recently and got a wad of cash, so I'm buying a bunch of shit I don't need, but just want... That's the beauty of it all...

 

He's going to send me some strips I requested to light up the ground under the truck at each door. I'm wiring it to come on when you open/unlock the door and dim off with the dome light.

 

That's exactly what I was thinking. I'll be picking your brain when I'm ready to do mine.

I had a roll of waterproof LED lights for exactly that, but never got around to it. Gave it to Nate and he put it to good use in his truck. I would like to do a strip either under the body on both sides or under the doors with a little coming up at the ends as a door marker. Don't know why these trucks still don't have a bed light...

I was able to sight in my .22 and hit that little 8" chicken at 100 yards consistently! I was pretty surprised. And at that range you can see the little .22 slug fly up and arch back down through the scope! Really cool.

 

Nate...question on your bed lights. Did you fashion a rocker switch to turn them on/off or did you utilize a pin switch whereas when the tailgate is opened the lights come on? I kinda like the tailgate open method to activate the lights, but I'm not sure there is a hot wire active in the rear of the truck without the vehicle on...

 

I'm still curious as to the beam pattern on those LED's. I'm sure they're brighter, but is it a spot or flood pattern? Dana/Hoenah??

Or you could put a rocker switch in one of those black boxes in the back of the bed. If you need help to install LMK for a small fee.

It' looks 10 times better then stock and don't cost that much so since you got a big wad of cash this should be chump change.
