DIY Tranny Oil Change?

    I want to replace the Tranny Oil on my 2004 Tacoma Automatic V6 Double Cab , is there a tutorial or how to on this forum, thanks. preciate it.

    As far as I know you can drain and fill the auto tranny, but without specialized equipment you can't get all the fluid out. There are some 15 qts of fluid that are in the tranny, radiator and lines connecting the two, but you can only drain out ~3-4 qts.

    I don't know about a how to, there may be one out there...you should be able to take out the fill and drain plugs and let it drain out, then fill until it won't take any more.

    Just buy a Haynes manual for your truck, they should have your generation of manuals of your truck in your local auto parts store in-stock. And if they don't carry it in-stock on a regular basis, then don't go there. :D
    And if you have any other questions the manual can't answer, then post your question on here.
