    Damn. Driveshaft looks brand new.

    Did you read that thread where Monkeyproof had the same cracks? I think you can just weld them, grind them smooth and slap on a layer of paint.

    That is strange. Seems like it would be easier to just box it the whole way like the new one instead of having the ends open like the old one. Are you gunna buy a new one or fix the old one?

    Really? What issues did you run into? Just unbolt the carrier bearing and the 4 bolts to the 3rd member right? For me it was the opposite. Harder to put back on but only took a few extra min.

    Yea cause the Drive shaft was seized on to the 3rd member and transfer case.

    Yup, that old cross member was definitely a bad design. The break is right at the end of the weld. Bummer!
