    You planning on fully armoring up? Also, I couldn't get it to fit together with the plastic cover over the solenoid so I removed that but know think I'm paying the price for it being completely open to the elements.

    4.56's are spot on. Just did a 730mile highway trip last night, averaged 15.5, 15.3, and 16.4 with semi drafting help. I did 2.25" cut and seems to do the trick.

    Doubt I'll get to full armor but I'll plan for it, snatch block won't help with weight? Also, you could divorce and seal that XRC solenoid without much trouble or no?

    Yes a snatch block would help but will you honestly want to rig that every time and lose 1/2 your speed?

    I sealed the solenoid and it can be divorced (haven't gotten the wire or desire), which I'll probably do soon after I figure out what's going on with mine.

    Yes it is worth it! If I were you, I would buy it, regrease it, silicone the solenoid and use it as much as you need it! That is the first winch I had. It worked fine. The 8k was challanged, but I never had to use a snatch with it. However it is slow, but who gives a shit about that, as long as it works IMHO.

    Hell mine's on there for 200, needs to be re-greased and the connections cleaned up. Solenoid is already sealed and divorsed

    Exploded a UCA bushing this past weekend. Looks like I have something to figure out and do this weekend on top of gas tank skid install and pulling the front bumper off.

    Wow... I've heard that happening with a few guys but it's pretty rare. Did it just unlatch or break altogether?

    Unlatched, came open about 3-4 times before this. That time it broke a 100+ pound zip tie. Eventually used some cord to secure it shut.

    That's nuts!

    One of the attractions of the CBI was the screw-latch system on the swing out. It's not a quick release latch but the sucker won't open unless you want it to.

    Is it possible to upgrade the existing latch or perhaps add a secondary as a safety?
