It only really fires one one cylinder, non firing cylinder will start to fire if i Put my hand over the carb to choke it out, also runs good with the choke on, which really only richens the non firing side.

Spark plug, wires, reeds good on non firing cylinder? Sounds like the cylinder not firing could be lean if it's running better with the choke on. Probably doesn't help much as you already stated it runs better with the choke on. What bike?

75 rd350, ive got the air box removed now to try and sync carbs again. When i put my hand over either one it starts to rev high now. But seems to be firing on both sides.

Thanks for the help, I'm a newb to 2 strokes.

Do you happen to know the pilot and main jet size and if they are properly cleaned? Needle clip position? IIRC the 350's are very touchy with jet size.
This info was coming from helping a friend a few years back with a very similar problem. He got quite a bit of good info from this site:

Thanks but I guess it was just the carbs needed to be synced a 3rd time, rds have a weird procedure for it. Its working almost properly I guess. Never rode one except my own POS.:D

Ill have to put the airbox on and see if that changes it tomorrow. I guess the jets are stock didnt see any markings on them when I cleaned the carb.

Its fast as shit though, just popped a little wheelie on it, first time I ever have on a bike.
