Just met up with TimmyB and his friend and they want to do a local trail camping tomorrow.

I want to add some wiring and do it right.
I've looked at the blue sea stuff and it looks nice but they're awful proud of it.

I had thoughts (likely inspired somewhere on this forum) of picking up a fuse box from another vehicle from a junk yard and using that.

    Anyone try that? Any ideas/input?

A small handful of select mods.
Blue Sea is really cheap compared to sPOD. But sPOD is completely turn key. Never tired a junk yard set up.

    -1 standard 4 prong relay
-1 switch, I'm happy with mine from OTRATTW. You'll also need a way to draw power to the switch in the cab. I have a fuse tap like this:
    http://www.amazon.com/Littelfuse-FH...=UTF8&qid=1403576277&sr=8-1&keywords=fuse+tap

They should also have that a NAPA
-Simple Stranded Wire, what size is the light bar? 16ga would probably do depending on the current draw. BTW, wire goes quicker than you expect. I always just get like 50ft rolls.
-Either a fuse block, like the blue sea ones mentioned, if not an in-line fuse holder.
-If you plan on doing other electical, it probably wouldn't hurt to get a crimp connector started kit with a bunch of connectors and the crimper/stripper tool. If not I've got all that stuff. Or could solder if you really want.

Yeah, the blue seas ones aren't bad price wise. I've been trying to find one with both fuse/relay setups though.

I can't see a junkyard one working out too well. I just think they would be too messy, unless of course you able to find one much simpler than I'm thinking of. I just wouldn't want 15 slots of differnt size fuses when all I need is a few. Not worth the few dollar savings IMO.

Bunce School Road is open and in the same area. The final 1 1/2-2 miles to the plane crash site is currently closed but they can hike to it. I was just there yesterday. The upper part of Bunce/ Iron Clads has some nice camping.
