They're decent people to work with. He used to be based in Lewiston, but they moved to that new location a couple of years ago. Guy who runs it's name is Jason, I think.

This makes me laugh. No offense, but my girlfriend and I always joke that people from MA rarely make it past Wells.

Anyone ever do Quill Hill on 16 above Rangeley or Ira Mountain up by Carrabassett?

Ira Mountain I've done; never done Quill Hill though.
We were always more of the "take the truck up Day Mountain" types when I lived in Farmington. Typically only made it up to Rangeley during ski season. Bill Berry (who bought Saddleback in 2003) lives on Voter Hill in Farmtown, and I grew up on Morrison Hill. I used to do odd jobs around the farm for him and Irene, and they used to reward me with a season's pass :D

But back on topic, if you go up Quill Hill get some pictures!

The last 4 pics are Quill Hill, its like 10 miles north of Rangeley on 16. We went up 27, hit Ira mt. on the way up and took 16 back down from Eustis. The pictures don't do it justice, you can see the wind towers up on Kibby and all the way down to the Height of Lands, full 360 view with a great road up.

I used to live in that area. I have never been up either. I didn't have my taco then, just a crappy little Pontiac. I will have to check those out next time I'm back up there. I love that area and I miss it a lot. Its just a hard place to make a living.

They have only been driveable for the last few years, and could make either of them with a car right now. I hear ya about the making a living part, not much going on above Lewiston/Auburn at all.
