a full size Dodge Ram that looked to be stock height made it... you'll be fine... and I dont' remember any tight areas so width wouldn't be an issue either...

but if you need... I've pretty much always got a spare seat.

    Working on it.
If I remember correctly we ran Hackett Gulch first. Got stopped on one tough section that some guys made and some didn't. Then a massive group of Jeeps came thru too. So we turned around. Skipped Longwater, and went right to Metberry and down to the river.

That's right... and tech Mike didn't run Metberry. he wasn't feeling well and got caught up because of the Jeep crew and was kind of left behind. so maybe go to the end of Hackett? that's not a easy trail... I think I was the only open diff guy to make it up the rock section... but we could winch those who need it...

A memorial trail run should not need winching. Kind of missing the point. It should be a run that matter who wants to attend can. It's a memorial run not a TW weekend trail run. His family might want to attend and have a non lifted vehicle or a 4x4 they are not willing to mess up.

completely understand... just meant if we wanted to run the last trail he ran.

Metberry he didn't actually run... but that one is very easy.

It does not have to be a trail he ran last, but it has to be a trail that if his wife's wants to drive and bring family members which I strongly encourage she does so they can be a part of this.

I was just talking about BDN's and my suggestion on the trail down by the springs... wasn't saying it had to be anything.

This. We need to focus not so much on obstacles, but something she is willing to (or have someone) run too. This is for her, not us. Whatever is easiest, and best for her (prob group decision) is what we will need to do.

Redline is correct. We did Hackett first which isn't stock friendly, skipped long water (also not stock friendly, only because of that one rock that you need sliders for), and did Metberry last which is the easiest. Our open guys with no armor made it fine.

    Just an FYI:

So far we have- BamaToy1997 donating funds, and a 'stage 1 Kit' for free; CBI Off - Road will be donating something; (pending what is decided) HomerTaco will be donating a 'coupon' of some sort; ToyTec will be allowing us to auction off a BOSS kit.....

So raffle / auction it will be....

I couldn't remember exactly what the trails were that he ran, but yeah, this is the point I was trying to make. It should be an easy run. I guess there were some obstacles on those trails.

Is there any other trails in the Springs area?

Hey everyone, it's Kim, Mike's wife. I think I would be up for a VERY EASY run but I have never done a trail before except as a passenger with Mike. I'm pretty sure he would be watching and laughing at me as I tried a trail. I really want to do this for him but I'm going to need a lot of guidance. I don't know what restaurant to suggest yet. Maybe pick one after you guys decide on a trail? Thank you guys so much for wanting to honor my husband. He went out fighting, a true warrior. .

There's also phantom canyon. It's not really a trail but it's a dirt road that goes from canon city over towards cripple creek. Kind of scenic. Every other trail I can think of around there isn't stock friendly other than Metberry.

But I will say there's some scary looking obstacles on Metberry that might scare a new wheeler (but we got through fine).

Nice we will be sure to make it an easy one. If you have a restaurant in mind let me, Sean, or Travis know. We can get it all set up.
