    that's a good locker. it won't be locked all the time, just when u give it enough gas. I know numerous people who daily drive with front and rear lockers and do fine with it. You just have to learn to drive different then with an open diff. As long as your axle is strong enough, you shouldn't be worried at all about breaking anything. Now us ifs guys is a completely different story

    I'm worried more about not having a turning radius worth a damn than I am breaking my axle.. I don't want the spartan to make my SWB Toyota's turning radius that of a LWB F350 dually.

    It was a bitch turning on the trail with my front spartan locker in my 4runner, and it would randomly pop every now and then. I moved it to the back and put a selectable in the front.

    My 1.5" wheel b.s. doesn't help, but there were times with the front spartan when I literally could not turn the wheel and almost flopped on an off-camber descent. I got tired of it and got a high pinion diff with a Yukon Zip locker and I love it, should have done it in the first place. That's just my 2 pennies.

    Yeah I have a lock right up front and turning wasn't too bad last time out but I wasn't turning to full lock and it was still an arm workout. Twin sticks are still on the list.

    It's worth it.

    I saw an open/open DCSB sport walk up Hells Gate with no issues last time.

    You'd be surprised what you can do.;)

    Tires, sliders, & skids are the top priorities.

    I got tires and sliders are cheap.. I have all my suspension besides a little hardware and the high steer kit.

    I'm ordering gears and a rear Spartan this week. Im gonna own Hells Gate!

    I did the Hells Revenge trail but not Hells Gate or Elevator. I just watched. Being so far from home and it still being my DD kept me a bit more on the cautious side that trip.
    Next time will be different. :cool:
