    SOLD!!!

I picked up a used lift from Craigslist because I only needed the strut mounting hardware and bushings. The lift was from a 2007 FJ, and I have a front aluminum coil spacer lift that I think equate to 2" after being preloaded in between the strut and spring. Correct me if I am wrong but, I believe the spacers will fit 4th gen 4Runners, and 2nd gen Tacomas too. I am pretty sure its from Tuff Country (2007-2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser - 2" Leveling Kit by Tuff Country #52002 - 2008 2009 2010 2011 | SuspensionConnection.com). $35 Shipped and its yours.

I am tempted but weary...do these mess with the geometry at all?

Geometry? Well...they should lift your truck about 2", and like any lift, you would need to get an alignment. Don't know if that is what you mean by geometry.

LOL By geometry I mean, the angle of force on your ball joints, UCA's, LCA's, etc. I am not going to sit here and act like I have a doctorate in it but I have read that a lot of the lift spacers can cause premature part failure. I imagine with it only being 2" of lift it probably couldn't be too much of a prolem but figured I would at least ask first.

Any lift will or can cause part failures due to changing the geometry/lifting the truck, etc.

At around 2" of lift your CV angle will actually become more positive and look the way a 2nd Gen Tacoma should of came from the factory. A spacer lift would be a good entry into suspension lift before spending more $$$ for coilovers and other components before you decide to go higher.
