That's weird, no reason for them to mess with that, or the brake connecters for that matter.

then ALSO I was talkin to Dan from offroadwheelers today.. to find my cheapest way out possible for my one day failing suspension that needs to be replaced just so I can maybe save up for it one day... ( ha) and realized I might as well sell my soul to the devil... to be able to afford it...

that's what I was thinking too.. but I dunno anymore.. just glad it didn't fully mess up on me.. if I wasn't as OCD about my truck .. I probably wouldn't have found it.. on another note I looked at lower ball joint boots.. and they don't seem to be split..and some research on here .. makes me believe they are ok.. just need to lift truck and play with the wheel to see if it moves side to side to tell whether they are bad..

I need a new leaf pack.. and I want to go to eibach coils with billies.. goin eibachs cause they will save me money from the OME and i'm not putting any weight on the front... I even looked at spindles but I still would need shocks and coils so no reason to do that..

also I still don't trust my mechanical knowledge on my lower ball joints.. so that's on the back of my mind..

Had it all on and together withing 30-45 minutes and that included drilling holes and bolting it from the inside and drilling the bedrails at midnight in pitch black haha It will likely never be closed though, I like it way more when all rolled up! Bed bob is going down when I get back from Vacay and get some work one on the 83'

I feel like I've been lied to this whole time now... There was a thread when I first started here and it was all about the sports having bigger break calipers so most 16s wouldn't fit

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
i think it's just that the calipers themselves are big. not than any 6 lug has larger calipers than any other. toyota's stock 16's have added clearance between the back of the wheel and the face of the caliper since they knew it was there. aftermarket manufacturer's don't care.

    ie...(not my pic)

That wasnt my pic, btw. one i found while looking at caliper issues on here.

you'd need to get spacers to run 285's on stockers.

i'm running 285/75/16 falken wild peaks on a 4.5" BS KMC enduro. my other set is 285/75/16 treadwright backbone on a 4" BS pro comp 8069.

off set wheels do the same as spacers to the wheel bearings. just goes with bigger tires

Yeah I am keeping my 285s
