This only my second post, please be patient!

I recently ordered the weather tech front and rear liners for my 09 double cab. The issue I'm having is that the front seats are limited to how far they can go back, this is true with the drivers and passengers seats, with the design of the rear liners. Anyone else have this issue? Oh ya I called weather tech and they told me that is just the way they are made and to cut out that part that interferes with the front seats. Does this sound correct to anyone?

Weathertech FAIL. That's BS. You just discovered their design mistake. There was no need for any cutting if they had designed the seat rails into it.

Ya they are pricey...you probably got the same price as I did...I got them from weathertech canada...I think they came to about $250.00 after taxes and shipping...They are an excellent product though...I figure If I'm paying a ridiculous amount of money to have a new truck I should protect my investment...worht the money if you ask me.

Ya I had to trim a little to allow for the clutch to go down and not get caught up on the mats...no big deal...as for the rear mats...it's not a big deal...I'm 5'9" so I don't need to put the seats that far back. They should have allowed for these minor details considering the money I had to spend on them but over all I'm very happy with them...Cheers

This issue I believe has been fixed...I did have to trim my rears but it was very easy to do. I emailed Weathertech about this as well as some other members from ToyotaNation.com and I think the 2009 models now have a cutout for the seat track.

I had read before I bought these liners that there had been an issue from 08 to 09 and like you said the problem had been fixed. I ordered these liners through a 4 wheel drive parts store so I thought maybe they got the wrong part. I contacted weather tech, talk to them on the phone and by email(sent the pictures I posted earlier), they responded by saying that, that's the way they are and I would need to cut the liner to make it work. After spending nearly $250(bought a rock/bug guard as well) I would have had thought they would have had been a little more helpful. Maybe they have fixed the problem and some how I ended up with an old one:confused:, but again, just there response kind of did not sit well with me. I'll cut the rear liner to make it work and that will be that. I do love the front mats!:D

Why don't THEY do the cut before they ship them to you? I won't pay their prices unless its a "digital" fit as they claim, not an "analog fail you have to cut pieces off to make it fit".

No offence to anyone complaining about having to trim the weathertechs. (I agree with you). But It does say right on the website that trimming may be required to correctly fit...

I ordered mine direct from Weathertech for an '09. When I called to inquire about when they would ship, I was told that they are "made to order" and would be leaving the production warehouse in 7 days. I took that as I was getting a set that hadn't been sitting on the shelf so to speak.

So I'm thinking they haven't changed the design yet, since I had to trim also.

Those almost look diecut... how did you keep the corners so sharp without over extending the slice into the intersection of the material removed? Very nice job. (I'm an attention to detail whore... what can I say?)

Do the Husky liners work with a manual shift?

Also where is the best price for the Husky mats.

I have also used Weathertech for other products and never had a problem with customer service. Looks like the company policy may have changed.
