So I just noticed my ball joints going bad on my OE LCA's! Therefore I am looking at TC's lcas. I will be running bypasses eventually but just cant decide which version to go with. Also I am running Camburg's spindle not sure if anybody knows which version would work better...since I just learned there is some modifications required to run the race series!

    Thanks guys for your input!!

I'm running the race series as you saw in the other thread. I went with them because I wanted an actual secondary shock tab and not a bracket that is bolted in on the regular stock length LCA.

I had some issues at install that were my fault and caused me some headache.

The only negative for me is that the steering stops occasionally hit the LCA at full lock. This has left some nasty gouges in a freshly powder coated set of LCAs. The instructions mention it but you don't know that until you buy them. I ran a 3.5" TC LT kit on my last truck and never had the steering stop grind into the LCA. So to me why do these stock lowers have that happen?

Overall, they are a solid product like any other TC product but they have caused me more headache than any other part I've ever installed on my truck.

Wow I really appreciate your input! So I should maybe use a very qualified installer for these arms, Demello perhaps?...

    No I don't think that's necessary.

You just need to run 1.5" spacers at install time and trim the steering stops as per the instructions. You know now that the steering stops may hit at full lock. I had a really hard time accepting that.

Both of these items were big headaches for me that won't be for you now.

So regardless even if I'm running after market rims you still have to run a spacer? Currently running a -6 offset wheel 16x8.5. If so I'll probably be leaning towards the original version, even though you made a good point about the bolt on shock mount. I cant imagine TC would run it this way and not be reliable. I'm just not a fan of wheel spacers. Once again thanks for taking one for the team!

I'm running 4.5" BS Method wheels and I still needed a spacer.

I hate that there is a need for that big of a wheel spacer. Wheel spacers put quite a bit of load on the bearings.

Hence the reason I don't care for spacers! Good point!
