Update on leaking rear shock

It is covered under warranty but the incompetent dealer service center cannot get the the correct part. Idiots took the old one off before they even checked the replacement. They wasted and hour+ of my time this morning.

 

Do you need to start a thread for every single little thing that goes wrong that you want to cry about?

In my opinion you wasted your own time. I personally know enough not to trust Toyota and would of had the service manager e-mail me the part numbers so I could verify them before taking my truck to them - just like I did for my rear leaf spring TSB 4 years ago.

God helps those who help themselves.... not the ones who place blame on others and cry about it afterwords.

It is the dealers responsibilty to get the correct parts. Do not bring god in to this as god has nothing to do with it, even if god exists. You know I am a Steeler hater so I always expect that you will criticize anything that I write.

as long as OP starts a new thread for when the shock is replaced and a couple update threads at 5k and 10k later so we know it's doing ok my life will be fulfilled.

I guess I do not know a Penquin from a Steeler. Main reason for post was to let people know that a leaking shock is covered under warranty. Adding the bit about the dealer was just out of frustration. People are trashing them all the time on this forum. There are plenty of other threads with opinions on Bajas. I think we have beaten the Baja versus aftermarket to a pulp.
